i have a suspicion you’re a very efficient packer, you probably sit on your zipped up case tapping your watch and saying ffs while less gifted packers rush around feebly, racked with indecision.

WHEEEEEE, I made it! This place is a long way from everything. I had a window seat from Brisbane and we flew over gorgeous turquoise waters most of the way here.

hi jaq, i hope you are having a wonderful time up there! i’ve never been to darwin but f. used to go a lot for work, he said this is the best time of year to go. if you have any spare time in brisbane on your way back i am only an hour’s drive away, maybe if it’s feasible i could come over and see you?

Aw, I’m flying home through Sydney! But, they apparently will want me to come back later in the year, so maybe we could meet up in Brisbane—I’d love that.

It’s been great to be here in the dry, I can imagine the buildup and the wet are miserably humid. And cyclones :(

the wet season up there sounds a lot like florida in july. southeast queensland in summer is hot and humid by most standards but when people from darwin come here they complain about how miserably cold it is.

i hope it works out that if you come back we can meet up, i would love that very much.
