congratulations indeed

also, from the underworld poll on ilm:

we fostered two cats starting in february so they've been with us a few months and we "upgraded" that i guess to fully adopting them. they are sweet but they are still pretty feral so we can't touch them yet. we collectively refer to them as "the boys" and occasionally call them each just "boy". well i want them to get more comfortable with me so i talk to them a lot even though i can't pet them yet, and for the past week i've started doing this ting where i start singing NUXX to them but changing the lyrics to be about what they're doing? "cat boy small boy chewing on cardboard boy in the kitchen boy he is a fuzzy boy" shit like that. they don't seem amused but i like it and it is actually making me like that song more again OK THE END

lol. since my last post we've had some medication misadventures and she's puked twice, but i think part of her problem is hairballs and i need to get to the store to get some anti-hairball substance for her too.

i had to give lyle pills twice a day for his last two years and it was so awful and he was so good about it.

polly, even if i could catch her, would rip my hand off.

yes i'm still gonna talk about lyle for decades

as you should!

i am supposed to give her half a pill twice a day. but these pills have stern warnings NOT to cut them as they are dangerous to humans. i just wash my hands after handling them but uhhhhh. i've sometimes given her a whole one because she spends several hours sleeping in a drawer from morning to afternoon every day and getting her out of there is impossible. it's under the bed so she can just slide out the back of it and hide and i won't catch her. very clever.

two years pass...

sang bob welch's 'sentimental lady' to polly tonight, who was unimpressed despite 'you are here and warm/but i could look away and you'd be gone' perfectly describing our relationship
