i learned that my home internet is so flaky i can't reliably deliver online programming so because i am a glutton for punishment i am going to have to wear real clothes and go into my office a few hours a day for the next two weeks while attempting to make an artist residency work via computer and it is sure to be a disaster. why didn't i just cancel it all?

i am definitely fatter. i've given up on life. i hate this. i did finish another sweater part.

i have eaten a lot of ice cream, it is my main accomplishment

i went to the grocery store today and there was almost no ice cream except there were a few limited edition friendly's EGG NOG ice creams left. why would these not be bought up?! i was going to make an apple pie but to save myself eating the 2 whole sticks of butter in the crust i will make an apple crisp instead. good choices.

my phone self destructed today and the phone store appears to be closed for the pandemic.

apparently i need to buy a bow-flex or stationary bike or some other crazy shit because my body is degrading at a greater rate than i am used to

I started looking at treadmills which is a sign we are in truly dire times.

just ordered a knockoff rowing machine, because the nice ones aren't shipping until mid july

i considered buying a nice one a while ago. i am a rower. i mean i was. i may do it after i paint etc my second bedroom. which i will do in the next few months.

I have a really weird rowing machine from the 80s and I don’t know how to use it!

I was going to order a treadmill but I also can’t figure out how to get it in and installed because delivery is limited to the front door.

I also might not have a job soon so maybe I should just figure out how to use the rowing machine!

the other thing i've accomplished is to assemble a very impressive wardrobe for pinkl of lil orcas, catch a ton of butterflies, and plant hundreds of flowers.

i accomplished getting laid off at the end of the month. looking forward to not working from home.

my company won’t pay for my unused vacation time so I will be not working from home tomorrow through may 28. My last day is may 29.

At least I won’t be doing work for them (mostly, I will have a hard time not working especially when so much needs to be done). The whole situation is lacking in logic but alas this is where we are and I’m ready for it to be over.

i have completed the nyt crossword puzzle each day since mid-march

i visited lancaster county for the first time and bought some delicata squash and large sweet potatoes (and tomatoes for canning)

i am eating the delicata squash and thinking of the time we made dinner on the island and my contribution was delicata squash. i need lxy's lentil recipe.

i did not say lancaster out loud to anyone. i gotta see how many jars i will get--i'm trying to cook these down a lot so it may not be many! also i keep trying to think about how best to mail jars. it's risky.

I worked from home from the second week of march, 2020 through the first week of September, 2021.
I worked from work from the second week of September, 2021 through the last week of December, 2021.
I have not worked from anywhere since the first week of January, 2022 and I will not work anywhere ever again.

during WFH I got into cooking and sewing. I am now very good and confident at cooking beans, which was not previously the case, and I am proficient at sewing this one dress pattern that I have adapted in a bunch of different ways. I made my wedding dress out of it. oh yeah, jergins and I got married.

after I retired I canned some stuff I made from our vast persimmon harvest (chutney and jam). I am now eating persimmon jam with a spoon out of a jar I just opened. I hope I don't get botulism. I am a nervous canner and I don't know how to tell if something I canned is poisonous other than to eat it and hope I don't die.

I am using a laptop that capitalizes some words but not others, and it's very annoying.

neither retirement nor marriage have made me any less irritable, you will be delighted to learn.
