i have been having a lot of sleeping problems lately so daydreaming about sleeping in my house in the woods with the windows open and the turkeys warbling in the background is really comforting

oh, i did make cookies. i'm good at that. september weather is back???

i lost a trial this week but i feel ok about it because there were so many problems with it and i still almost won. i volunteered to do a new high-profile case why bc she look intersting. i'm TIRED. how does it go away

i was supposed to begin a 2 week murder trial tomorrow but we got some new info on friday so i believe we will get a postponement and i am very excited to sleep a lot and go to the gym and maybe clean my house and make cookies. also best september weather in years. it's usually too hot. encouraged, for once.

hey lxy i haven't made lentils in forever but you reminded me i like them and i got some berbere from the ethiopian store and i am dead. real ethiopian lentils. i am sorry but they were better than lxy lentils.

yes, i didn't want to but you can't really not do that. it was ok. i'm going to the office today to clean up and move things out. it is mostly done already.

i feel like i can never leave my job because i've worked here for so long they'd never let me get away without some big do and it seems utterly excruciating. but on the other hand refusing a do would be scandalous? i don't know, this is the type of nonsense that worries me on a regular basis. "fortunately," i have a good number of years left to decide which approach i'll take.
