This movie is a lot stranger and tamer than I expected ... until it was extremly not tame at all.

not really necessary, the end is the worst part (in a series of pretty bad parts)

the gun / sex scene was total Lynch, looked straight outta Wild At Heart. v. weird movie.

yeah i watched that w/my parents when i was about 15. (we rented it on videodisc!) sex stuff majorly awkward. after the gun scene my mom was like, "um, you know that's not normal sex..." and i was all "DUH, mom!" (don't know what she was worried about, we didn't even own any guns.)

Just watch Silent Hill on fast-forward, stop whenever something happens that looks interesting. You don't need the dialogue.
