i saw a job listed in ny in a place i could stand living & could be in the woods. i cannot, however, stand being paid $25,000 less than i do now. (that makes it sound like i make a lot of money, though!). i'm probably overqualified it says 1 year of experience.

so cute. buckles AND a zipper. i was having sheriff beers the other day and the one sheriff who loves shoes asked me if i was a skinhead because the last time we hung out (2 years ago) he said i was wearing army boots. i was not wearing army boots but this is so funny to me. they were clarks. anyway i went to pull them out this weekend bc cold and i remembered i have almost worn through the bottom. this time i got brown so no one will say i am a skinhead.

i was like "yes, that's me. i am a skinhead."

i have trouble trusting sheriffs.

i have the most complicated trial starting tomorrow. i'm about to take a non-prescription sleep aid. good luck sheriff is out for some unknown ailment. i don't know what i'll do without him.

good luck sheriff came back and then went out again. he is in the hospital. he has a cat. know what makes me sad? thinking of being in the hospital and having a cat at home alone who doesn't understand what's going on. is that weird? they don't care, right?

poor kitty. which brings to mind a question i have always had which is: if you are on a sequestered jury do they pay for pet boarding/care? or just let to out of jury duty?

when i was in the hospital in july i was all freaked out because of lyle and my inability to immediately find a visitor for him, but

tbh while he *likes* food, i think with him it's more about 'it is 6pm and i am owed food' than the actual eating

anyway i hope good luck sheriff and kitty are soon reunited, and that shoes sheriff isn't too jealous

sometimes when i get home from work and i'm fumbling for my keys at the door i hear my cat squealing desperately and i wonder what she is thinking. it is mostly "i ran out of food an hour ago and i am going to die."

i visited sheriff and ate some pudding and ice cream at the hospital. he is getting out tomorrow. he showed me a picture of cat and said "doesn't he look skinny?" i said no he just looks mad. it's a huge cat. i'm glad cat's wait is soon to be over.
