oh jeez, sorry

it's very unsettling but i'm starting to feel a little better. they took replaceable things. i shouldn't feel embarrassed that a burglar and a cop saw that my house is a mess. at least i'm not a burglar, and the cop joked that i could blame it on the burglar. my not anymore bf helped me get a new computer. i have to dip into my savings i never touch to pay him back but i make money, so i can recover.

i'd just really like to watch a netflix dvd on my snow day and macbooks don't have dvd drives anymore?

i feel like i'm in a parade of shit

i do this weird thing where i don't want to tell anyone anything. right now i've been avoiding calling the insurance company for 2.5 days. i did call them last night at 8 but claims was closed. the deductible is probably too big for me to bother.

our realtor said never report anything because your rate would skyrocket. i don't know if it's true, and i don't know if there are other compelling reasons to report.

i don't know anything about it though. insurance is weird.

I heard that about car insurance, too! If it's less than/close to deductible, maybe don't file a claim?

i talked to them just to make sure i understood my paperwork right. i can't remember what the claims person called it but she said something like a "report only" status so it would not affect my premium.

i lost a jury trial that took 3 days but they did deliberate for 6 hours including over half of the fourth day

i am going to have a clean bathroom by the end of the day. i need some encouragement though. maybe i'll ask horseshoe if she wants to have beers later, also.

I just cleaned mine because my aunt asked if she could stay with me last minute! AND I was thinking that earned a beer..you can do it, harbly!

i did the tub, the toilet, AND the sink. now just the floor. GOOOOOOOOOOO!

sometimes the only way i can get my house at least superficially clean is by inviting someone over. whatever it takes.

i am in my very first murder trial with my supervisor. we like to joke that he is my dad.

harbly i typed a congrat but must've forgotten to press submit

the last time i went to the dentist was in 2008. i was so procrastinating because:

• i'm an adult living alone so i don't need to do anything i don't want to do (this is false i am learning)
• i have always had dental issues from teeth forming wrong (according to old dentist) and maybe because of lack of fluoride in water growing up, we had well water
• i thought i would have to get my wisdom teeth out because i have not
• i have a crown that is old and old dentist said it would eventually need to be replaced with an implant
• we don't have good dental insurance so i would have to pay a lot out of pocket for the implant and other work
• i'm afraid of doctor judgment
• i didn't know how to pick a dentist i would not hate/would not be horrible

also i kind of feel good about turning 30. i might even finally go to the regular doctor and maybe get some drugs for my attention deficit problems

yesterday i had the shittiest day of just not having time to do anything and being rushed at work but in the middle of the day i checked my email and found that a case i had lost was overturned on appeal! i should have won! i am so happy

that's great! does that mean your client is acquitted or do they have to go through another trial?

well it was a motions hearing, so we never had a trial because he was definitely in possession of this thing. judge disagreed it should have been suppressed and now it is suppressed so the state will have to drop the case.

I need to watch more Law and Order or something because I don't understand.

haha law and order is the worst for trying to understand. the worst!

basically my guy had a gun in his trunk, which is not allowed in md except under certain circumstances. he got stopped and they ended up searching his trunk. i said they should not be able to, judge said it was ok. we basically agreed he was in possession of it so no trial. appeals court said no not ok, gun should not come into evidence. so the state has no evidence to proceed on when the case comes back.

I read yr dentist list of fears and they were all otm and the I read yr dentist results and was v encouraged and I feel guilty for making thread an output when it is clearly for input but <3 anyway

this thread is really for the encouragement of all because if i can be encouraged anyone can. i am not that easy to encourage.

i have been having a hard time lately. too much work, not enough exercise or fun. i had 4 jury trials in 2014. yesterday i started my first of 2015. tuesday i start my second. i loved my client in this one so much and if i lost he would have gone to jail for 5 years w/ no parole because he did something stupid. we won all but one of the counts, which was one i conceded anyway. i was really stressed and not sleeping over this one. phew.
