Anyway I could wear my motorcycle boots every day, probably, and be happy until spring. THEN the strappy heels come back out.

i haven't bought new footwear since i bought my boots back in may. the boots i'm wearing today are like four years old.

you need suede shoes to wear in the snow?!

of course not. however, when the snow's off the roads and paths but they are still icy for weeks, it'd be stupid to walk around in heels with no traction, and i am getting sick of wearing my sneakers all the time.

emergency boot shopping this afternoon, as it turns out that i left my beloved tecnica moonboots in oh. i found a decent lookalike, although not quite as warm or comfortable (tecnica rules), and a pair of deeply discounted black suede slip-on vans as a bonus. i'm pretty happy.

I actually have thigh-high boots (though not cheap vinyl ones like that) that I have never, ever worn because, really, I don't have a very good reason to be parading around in things like that. Waste of a significant chunk of money, so far.

Major x-post, but I don't have a good reason either, and I do it anyway. (When my knee is not busted that is.)
