The evening will begin with a walk on the red carpet. Collect your fabulous swag bag filled with lots of goodies upon check in and auction paddle. Enjoy some appetizers and wine before the show begins. This will give you time to meet and mingle with Men in Uniform while they sell raffle tickets. Take note of these men....They'll be auctioned off after the fashion show.

AUCTION:

At the end of the night all Men in Uniform (legally single) will be auctioned off! Bid on a guy for a date, handyman work, Home fire safety inspection, Self Defense, 5K race buddy and much more.

ABOUT THE MEN IN UNIFORM:

All of the Men in Uniform are legally single, Firemen, Police officers, Retired Navy Seals and more. They are generously donating their time for the wonderful Northwest Harvest charity.

I have never understood these things: 1) auctioning off humans for a lark 2) massively expensive fancy party in the name of charity when you think of how many people could be fed for the cost

yes, it makes me irate for so many reasons, those two in particular. you should have heard me ranting last night. jergins got an earful! he found it hilarious, which is rich considering it's via my association with him that i am invited.

This is an issue with the nonprofit sector!! I think in most cases they say the income justifies the expense but it is a weird system for sure! Ppl are selfish so they want to celebrate their altruism? The silly thing is major gifts don't usually come out of galas/events..they are usually the result of long-term donor cultivation.

It's something to test very cautiously, every so often.
