I found an awesome boxer in a shelter near Richmond but there is an app for him already so I have to wait til Friday to see if they get him. Ugh.

they are one of the craziest bunches. i just watched a thing in court re: a lady who started as a cat rescuer but lost control and saw predictable results. then they requested that her address be shielded because of other crazies. i love animals but ugh

i just saw a dog outside my apt that i recognized and he was stopped and wouldn't walk with his owner and i sad are you being bad? and owner said lol we used to live here and i think he's confused. aww.

I think it's so stupid that there are so many dogs that need homes and these people are like bogarting them!

In other news, I went to my sister's last night and her dog (a beautiful gap who is the sweetest ever) was attached to me the whole time. That only reinforced my idea that I should just dognap her (plot formed at thanksgiving). S is totally on board with this plan. Problem solved?

I took a quiz yesterday about what kind of dog is right for you. I took it twice. Both times, gsp was the answer! And the runner up was always vizsla <3. But those breed rescue groups would never ever give me one bc I don't have a fenced yard.m

I was *so* close to possibly getting a dog tomorrow but now I haven't heard back from the lady re final approval!

I am going to go meet Brutus the boxer tomorrow as a backup?

If all that fails, there are some boxer/Pyrenees puppies and I might be able to adopt one but I'm not sure if im ready for that...

So Suzie the dog is coming to meet me this afternoon!

I am supposed to go see brutus but i kinda don't want to do all that driving (almost 2 hours each way) if Suzie would likely be coming home with me later. But i also don't wanna get burned so maybe i should just go.

she really needs a bath but she was spayed on the 15th and i think the incision needs to stay dry at least 10 days. hmm.

it seems to me we should be getting regular basil updates, but instead we are not getting any.

sorry! we have been very busy going back and forth to my sister's house (45 min each way ugh). finally having a quiet day.

she is going to the vet on saturday to have her spaying stitches removed/examined. then i think she will be allowed to go to a dog park :)
