The projective line is neat and all but what he is doing is just stupid and fucking up his kids.

He reasons thusly 1/0=+inf -1/0=-inf (already see the problem that +inf=-inf) and 0/0=nullity (hence nullity = +inf)

He then reasons that 0^0=0^(-1)*0^(1)=1/0*0 = 0/0 = nullity.

Now let's try that another way.

nullity*0=0/0*0=0/0=nullity.

But also if 0^0 is a number then 0^0*0^1 = 0^1 = 0 Thus nullity*0=0 hence nullity*0=nullity=0. This is a pretty clear contradiction.

In other words it's just dumb. Mathematicians are not idiots. We haven't missed something like this for thousands of years.

Also, we are GOING to that meeting on MONDAY, KLG. About the shopping center/New Giant? On the flyer at the bus stop announcing the meeting some jerkoff wrote "NO to yuppies, traffic and noise!" I responded by writing/telling them to move to the suburbs.

The Giant constantly is out of staple type items like half and half and their produce really sucks and they don't have stuff like mushrooms on a consistent basis and (okay this is pretty yuppie I guess) cilantro. They'll run out of milk a lot too.

Not that I mind walking up or down to either Whole Foods. Or getting in the car to go to SuperFresh over by AU. It just seems like, if you're going to have a grocery store, have a grocery store. There is plenty of space to expand in the abandoned storefront right next door, seems like a no brainer.

We don't actually have a grocery in my neighborhood. There is a "Safeway" which is approximately 25ft x 35ft, but most of my exploring of that has been "emergency egg purchase" and "cigarettes" (which are in a completely wide open case way at the front of the store and the dudes are always like, "Oh yeah, just get your own, I'm pretty busy here" despite the fact that they CLEARLY AREN'T and are encouraging me to STEAL MOAR).

I did not notice an extensive half and half selection.

the bodega across the street from my last apt consisted of weird beer selection (like a lot of 40s and Zima??? The 40s I understood, but the Zima not as much), bananas, Cuban staple items like ginormous bags of rice and dried beans, Medaglia del Oro, cigarettes, and lottery tickets.

I went to the corner bodega last Sunday cos I had forgotten to get corn and the local grocery was already closed (at six, I think). I started fishing through the freezer chest (spinach, okra, broc, pigeon peas wtf? but no corn) and noticed bug specimens being uncovered by my rummaging: one dead, frozen cockroach and one dead, frozen centipede. I closed the cover and skedaddled.

My problem with the grocery store is that it is there. It is a grocery store. In my neighborhood. If there was NOT a grocery store in my neighborhood, no problem. BUT since there IS a grocery store there in my neighborhood, I would like it to ACT like a grocery store.

THE MORE PEOPLE WHO BOYCOTT THE ACTUAL PHYSICAL STORES, THE MORE THEY WILL HAVE TO FIX IT OR CLOSE THEM OR SOMETHING. I think?? Does freezing eliminate pathogens, or just slow them down? Once foods are thawed they still spoil eventually...which suggests they still contain the seeds of their own destruction.
