i wanted to volunteer (they will have volunteers to be witnesses and to assist with wardrobe emergencies) but all of the spots are filled. which is for the better because they probably don't need some stranger sobbing all over the license or trembling with safety pins.

i would encourage you to be a blubbering duffer at any wedding i was involved with.
