it rained and rained and the cilantro died before i could make the lentil soup but it was sunny yesterday and today and there are some small straggly new shoots coming through. the parsley and basil are thriving though, in fact they have a virtuous ironman giving it 110% air about them that is making it difficult for me to like them.

poor things - well, if i got dug up with a sharp steel shovel to the midsection, i'd be in shock for a season or two. If the leaves are still green, they'll probably bloom next May.
