I've only heard about the stereo copies, but both of mine are mono. Does it really sound different?

Not radically so, but it sounds a bit less insular, and has reverberation that isn't on the mono disc. (My cartridge or needle died so I can't listen to it now). Jake prefers the mono to the duophonic, and at least as of a decade ago didn't realize that any stereo copies survived. The mono master tapes have also since been lost, so all reissues (legit or otherwise) are needle drops.

ok wow, so "Death Rap" is worth a couple of hundred bucks if it's original, which I'm almost certain it is. Not bad for 33 cents.

That's a cool record to find for 33 cents!

but i'm listening to the incredible string band right now; such a good band.

Woke up with Hangman's Beautiful Daughter, now playing 5000 Spirits. Total comfort music. It's fucking seventy degrees in the midwest on new year's day.

So I think The second Jerry Williams record I thought was by a band called Canyon is actually the second High Mountain Hoedown record but the group is just called High Mountain. The one I found is his third record. He also has a fourth record called 'Down Home Boy' by The Jerry Williams Group from 73 and 'Gone' from 79.
