because they're terrible trash that should never have been foisted on our generation & its galling that you would mention a worthwhile artist in relation to them even if just to troll me

if a beautiful woman tried to have sex with me but said we had to listen to the weeknd, i would politely decline

it has the emotional range of a 16 year old's furtive make-out session on his couch while after-school cartoons play during the small window between the end of the school day and his parents' arrival home after work.

i haven't read anything yet that adequately explains why the weeknd is so amazing and better than [other r&b around atm]. different, yeah, but not better.

The Weeknd is doing his own thing and it isn't really anything to get all worked up over since he's very easily avoidable.
