I feel like for 10 years Papa John's was the pizza at every single school/office/family gathering I ever went to and I probably have no problem with it but just got sick of it, although on a level playing field I probably like it the most of these. Last couple years I've been mostly ordering Domino's since they're cheap and I registered on their site for the super easy online ordering, but I kinda like their new pizzas.

and unless i'm feeling like being lazy and using the Domino's site, i'll usually just grab one of the random menus left under my door for a local delivery joint and take my chances with those, and they're usually better than any of these.

From these options, Papa > Hut >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dominos. I had LC's once 20 years ago but no memory of it.

I will say that the Dominoes pizza tracker is really a cool invention

There's a S'barro's in the food court here at work. I get a slice once in a blue moon but it doesn't even register as pizza to me, just bread and cheese with sausage.

All of these are varying degrees of awful, but if forced to pick out of these options alone I have to go with Papa John's if only because of memories of them selling boxes for like $3 at the end of the night in campus town when I was in lolcollege.

Pizza Hut is for real the fucking worst though.

I worked at Domino's for years and can barely even stomach the smell of their food now. Pizza Hut changed their pizzas at some point and now they're gross and dry out way faster than they should. Little Caesars is good for $5, but not more any more than that. Papa John's is really the best chain pizza place, or at least the one with the freshest-tasting most diverse list of toppings and the crust is more bready than chewy.

new dominos is so fucking slathered with liquids i have to wipe my hands between bites. who the fuck thought covering the crust in butter wasn't a repulsive idea?

also I want to say that Papa Murphys is incredible (though it's probably best classified as "slow food"), the cheese and most of the toppings taste really great raw which I doubt Dominoes etc. do

btw I'm not really proud of trying to eat raw pizza but if you're really hungry and are craving P'murphs, it's like impossible in that moment where you're putting it in the oven to not swipe some cheese or an olive or a piece of pineapple and think damn, those are good ingredients. i stand behind that place

yeah i get the complaint they dealt with that their old pizza wasn't "flavored" enough, which, yeah okay it was bland, but it's pizza and therefore pretty good, and it's less greasy than the Hut, plus it was usually only 5 bucks. but they really did overdo it on the "re-do", even though I generally like the new flavor I just wish it was, y'know, a little less

The temptation to eat $5.00 pizza is like the temptation to just off yourself - best acknowledged and walked away from.

Pizza Hut above Dominos? Is that a political vote, or is US Pizza Hut a lot better than the UK one, or has it improved a hell of a lot in the (uhh) 12+ years since I last went to one?

OK, 12 years is a long time. Not that it feels like one.

The last time I had Pizza Hut was election night 2008. At that point in time, the only major pizza chain that was worse was S'Barro. I haven't had Domino's in a lot longer and apparently they've changed their shit up for the worse since then.

UK Dominos is shite, last time I had one all I could taste was salt and cheap oil. Pizza Hut not much better to be fair.

Dominos has always tasted ominous to me & I say that as a fan of the $5 Little Caesar's pizza.

new dominos is goddamn decent imo. i finally gave papa johns a try recently and it didn't top nu-dominos (and garlic butter is p. gross).

i have no palette when it comes to food. i eat crap. consume it like the corporations desired. so I sadly like all of these.
