I guess. But imagine as Cole develops even more.
miami is a scary team
― Daniel, Esq., Wednesday, 28 December 2011 04:01 (twelve years ago) link
yeah they're winning like 55 games

Norris Cole really boosting the stock of the next PG who puts up a 20-20-20 game in college.
― Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 28 December 2011 04:03 (twelve years ago) link
Uh, Cole is for real.
― Daniel, Esq., Wednesday, 28 December 2011 04:04 (twelve years ago) link
Yeah, they are for sure.
So which of the other two games will be more fun to watch right now?
― Hurting, Wednesday, 28 December 2011 04:05 (twelve years ago) link
Like three of those four teams I really barely know.
― Hurting, Wednesday, 28 December 2011 04:06 (twelve years ago) link
And as crazy as this will sound: don't discount Eddy Curry. May not work out, but right now, he's lost a TON of weight, and he is showing amazing, commendable determination. Miami is really good at these career-declination projects, and he would fill a niche.

Heat writer Michael Wallace says, at this rate, Curry will be able to wear "skinny jeans" by mid- January.

― k3vin k., Wednesday, 28 December 2011 04:42 (twelve years ago) link
honestly the only reason i'm watching this game is because i really thought they could pull off a whiteout
I believe in Gordon Hayward

Coke was really really good tonight. Better than Bron and Wade in the 4th
What's a little disturbing is that the Heat again had trouble with the zone, and that Bron again lost a lot of aggressivenessin the 4th. Still, Heat look like a juggernaut.
― Daniel, Esq., Wednesday, 28 December 2011 05:45 (twelve years ago) link
Wiat you're saying the team with two of the top 5 guys in the league is a juggernaut?
― clay, Wednesday, 28 December 2011 06:05 (twelve years ago) link
hes saying something abt the heat iirc
― Cooper Chucklebutt, Wednesday, 28 December 2011 06:06 (twelve years ago) link
went to see Portland vs Sacto tonight. Other than being blinded by Jimmer not much to report. Kings gave up about as totally and completely as I've ever seen a team in the second half. They flat quit.
― clay, Wednesday, 28 December 2011 06:07 (twelve years ago) link
Yes I like the Heat's gumption. They're plucky!
I think they're going places.

good to see the Bucks are going back to their vintage strategy of playing a team of slow white guys that commit like 20 fouls a game. Andrew Bogut, Ersan Ilyasova, Mike Dunleavy, Jon Brockman, Jon Leuer... it's such a dream

Tyson Chandler — the anchor of the Mavericks championship defense who left for New York because they only offered him a one-year contract to stay — is not surprised at the slow start. He told the New York Post he saw it coming when he and other veteran free agents only got one-year deals.“Honestly, I kind of saw it coming because when you put a team in a situation where you say, ‘You’re the defending champions, but we’re not necessarily trying to repeat,’ and when I say that, I’m not saying that they don’t have the pieces there, I obviously think very highly of those guys, but I say that because they offered everybody one-year deals,” he said.“So they knew nobody was going to necessarily accept that. … And when you have veteran guys in the locker room, the type of guys they got, in this time of their career, it’s tough to face that.”

if cole's still tearing it up in 30 games, he'll have more cred. it's more likely that other teams haven't got much scouting on him, yet.

he'll have bumps and a learning curve. but the key is: cole is very good. blindingly fast and fearless, which are things you often can't teach.
