I didn't see any regular season games last year and from browsing the NBA thread I was somehow under the impression that "momma there goes that man" was nothing more than a ilx meme. My joy and disbelief when he broke it out for reals during the play-offs was quite something.

yeah I was paying pennies on the dollar in the z-bo years for decent seats but after the oden draft the place was sold out and I couldn't hang. Still went to a ton of games as I have a family member who's worked for the team for 20 years and gave tickets away all the time.

My offer to take any ilh reg to a blazer game anytime they're passing through town is permanent.

not that i'm anxious to reopen this can or worms -- i'd rather open a bottle of wine -- but in light of our discussion yesterday about whether the heat suffer badly from having "ill-fitting" pieces, i thought this espn article was interesting. it discusses how, during the lockout, spoelstra spoke with the oregon ducks football coach about adapting their "spread offense" to the NBA. this year's heat apparently have unveiled that offensive package (tho, it was there to some degree last year, with spoelstra's "you do what i want, then you can do what you want" philosophy on defense/transition offense).

I think KC could support a pro basketball team, considering the new labor deal and they already have a great arena.

it's really baffling how KC has one of the best arenas in the country and no team to play in it.
