yeah this is hardly like the Michael Jackson first posthumous album which was filled with passable, decent material, but not much else. This is some pretty choice material. There isn't an underlying theme to hold them together, but it's some quality music that many of us haven't heard from an artist we loved that died too soon.

That Gamble & Huff-style version of "Tears Dry" is stunning, and makes me wish she worked more with those types of arrangements.

what's made me choke up the most is random acoustic youtubes from like 2007, where it's just her and a guitarist. it's hard to imagine anything here could be as powerful as those but i'm very willing to be proved wrong.
