living in a country where they celebrate christmas on the 24th, i've been spending the evening opening presents and drinking heavily with my girlfriend and her parents.

tomorrow we're gonna do the same again UK style with turkey dinner

Sprouts, followed by a Bond movie and arguments?

Got a book about macarons, five Blake & Mortimer comics and Sapphire & Steel on DVD. Feel my girlfriend's parents might be having second thoughts about me now.

I am posting from inside a superb blanket fort in the living room with my 2.5 year old nephew. It is confined and smells kind of poopy, but it is also pretty awesome and now we are going to watch My Neighbor Totoro.

Will be calling all of the relatives, baking cakes, cooking steaks, and pouring lots of Old Crow Reserve down our throats. (In that order, of course.)

i opened a couple of pressies already, somebody got me a huge book on the hubble telescope images. fab.

haha remy that's awesome. i spent the evening at a friends house having great meal, and playing with dinosaurs with my 3 yo godson.

and drinking boston beer

last night I had a gay Christmas dinner party with boyfriend/housemates/housemates boyfriend, today I worked, now I dine on fancy multigrain bread with oo and basil and also a vanilla coke zero while I play with my new kitten, and in an hour I go home to see people and open presents! And then Monday I work again!-

had the parents visit me and my brother in our new apartment. and they got to see me caroling for the first time. so many awesome things.

also they got me the non-US (HK) version of Drunken Master from an HK martial arts dvd stand in the mall on dvd. LIKE THIS IS PERFECTION.

my christmas tree toppled over yesterday
rip several 50-year-old ornaments from my parents

my mother told me yesterday that once upon a time my dad's mother was visiting and became enraged about something, knocked over the christmas tree, and left! i was not surprised but wow.

t, i am sorry for your tree and ornaments :(

it was quite a shock but the damage was only about a dozen or so ornaments, but 5-6 of the old family heirlooms (not really - they were five&dime purchases by my parents probably in the early 60s, the box had the price written in pencil, $1.69 i think)also 2 really nice ones we picked up in eastern europe about 20 years ago.
anyway, the tree is well anchored now and looks good
maybe i will post a pic later

hi & merry christmas, ours was very pleasant and i wish the same for all the sandboxers.
we had some friends over and when we'd finished eating i picked harry up (who had been sitting by my chair feigning starving to death) and put him on my lap and he immediately swooped his head down and licked the tablecloth, it was a disgrace.

basil has been begging for days! my father is too willing to indulge her!
