a "wahoo" is another term for "dine and ditch." we had a good excuse though- they fucked up our order twice, plus our server was a total dick about it. eh.

Weird, I didn't know there was a word for that. One of my cats does this like crazy with velour and chenille fabrics. She checks out mentally, kneads, purrs, and drools buckets. So much drool.

"Flehming" is another cat behavior word. It is when they hold their mouths open when smelling something. It always creeps me out.

question for NYCers: recommendations on cheap places to stay? are hostels actually decent? google is telling me about this NYC loft hostel which looks reasonably priced and decent albeit, very hipstery. Thoughts?

Ok. It looks like we're coming down the 2nd or the 3rd and only staying for 3 nights/4 days because I can't talk the stubborn boy into anything. I am totally down for a FAP. Hopefully he can be convinced to join but he's a little skittish with new people.

I made the food (lacinato kale salad w/ a garlic/lemon/Pecorino dressing, Kabocha squash soup, goat cheese and sundried tomato ravioli, and a cranberry-orange swirl cheesecake) and my housemate picked the music ("I'm just going to search for 'Christmas diva' on SoundCloud") and everyone loved it and it was awesome!!
