i wish i could have the harvey milk album inplanted in my brain so that i heard that instead of people talking. i mean actual people. i don't generally hear people talking in my brain.

Speaking of last.fm, how do I delete stupid shit that my roommate listens to while I'm gone off my list? I used to know where to find the option, but now I can't. HALP!

Also, today is BIg Black/Today is the Day, listening-wise.

Never mind, apparently you can't delete artists now, just recent tracks. Looks like it's time to blank my profile and start over. LAME.

30 MINUTE CASSETTE.
I can Leonardo when I get back to NYC.
also, the name of the nyoukis tape is "dadgum my bubblegum"

i also got some stuff wholesale at Armageddon to shill @ Academy, incl. albums by Dropdead, White Mice (christmas LP!!), Made in Mexico and Athletic Automaton. I also got a copy of the first Arab on Radar LP ("Queen Hygiene II") for myself, and one for Catalano. Apparently Ben has "a box" of them and decided to sell them in the store rather an on eBay; claims to be saving the test pressings for ebay in the future.

ian (orion), Sunday, 24 December 2006 21:11 (seventeen years ago) link

oh and i got an orig pressing of the 2nd white stripes record on sympathy (orig, no barcode) for ebay sometimes in the future.

69 (pete), Sunday, 24 December 2006 21:49 (seventeen years ago) link

home for me is kinda mediocre.
i did a crossword puzzle with my dad this morning, though. he is a crossword fanatic. i used to do them a lot more when i used to get the newspaper. now i just do the easy ones in the onion.

my dad's exgf and her two kids and her dog showed up, which i had no idea was happening. so now i'm kinda hiding on and off in the office with the computer. blah blah, swedish food etc. finished all my shopping this morning, wrapped presents etc.

now i'm listening to one of those weird black bean & placenta things. i don't even know what most of it is. it's, like, four albums and two CDs(!!) and hardly any of it is labeled. and it cost, like, 5 bucks new. i've never listened to it. maria bought it years ago. shortcut freaks and yak brigade is pretty much all the info on two of the albums.

scott seward (121212), Monday, 25 December 2006 04:19 (seventeen years ago) link

see, now, the black bean stuff, that's the indie shmindie stuff i can take cuz it's all diy jangly feelies/too pure/teenbeat kinda vibe and sometimes weird and sometimes teenypop/tweepop. i like that. it's just that horrible boring generic amerindie death cab crap that is like a plague of locusts to me. or some death cab dude that "discovers" "beats" or some such shit.

scott seward (121212), Monday, 25 December 2006 04:36 (seventeen years ago) link

YAK BRIGADE is Jacob Anderson, friend of the Raggett from college. Talented musician whose work began with the Raunchy Young Lepers and stretches across many more cassette/cd-r noise/pop bands like Gang Wizard with Mike who ran Blackbean. Nice guy.
