PER is total nonsense, an "efficiency" stat that rewards inefficiency.

paul's defense has slipped a lot, blake has embarrassed him a couple times. Still an offensive genius though.

this is very much more of a theoretical concern than a real one, in any event look at the top 10 players in the league in PER and then the top 10 in TS%, which one better reflects a player's worth? obv it's not a perfect stat but there's not a better one i don't think, composite or otherwise

getting beat backdoor by steve blake is pretty embarrassing, but paul's still one of the best defensive 1s in the league, his advanced numbers were not great last year but he wasn't 100% obviously - it'll be interesting tho to see how he plays on d this year.

TS% is a stat that actually means something, PER is just a hodgepodge of garbage.

a list of the top 3p% wouldn't be a list of the top players, but it at least means what it claims. PER means nothing.
