sunny, it took about a week to get the last one back. We waited around the airport for several flights after ours to get in and did get one of the bags (which I claimed was lost anyway, fuck them). Apparently they "forgot" to load the entirety of the checked bagged on our flight--only 3-5 bags came out on the carousel!! For the entire plane, I mean. And then just stuck the bags on ensuing flights. It was completely bizarre and awful, and their customer service was extremely...nonchalant about the whole thing. Our fault for flying an airline like Southwest.

oh man we got a firmwide email telling us federal offices are closed tuesday but we are OPEN (in all caps). sucky cause i started reading and got my hopes up and then was crushed. 4.5 day weekend woulda rocked.

Believe it, they totally are. Actually train to Philly might be cheaper if you can take local rail and transfer to SEPTA...? It's like a quarter (or less?) of the cost of Amtrak, from NYC.

weirdly there's no local rail north out of baltimore. you can get to d.c. for seven bucks but if you want to get to wilmington, yr payin $45. (though if someone wants to tell me otherwise, i'd be happy to hear it.)

(and last time i tried to take the bus i spent so much on cabs to and from the bus station -- way to put it in an abandoned industrial park area, dudes -- that it rendered the price difference almost negligible.)
