I like a few Coldplay tracks but the appeal of this one mystifies me.

I like "In My Place", "Politik", and "Viva La Vida".

"In My Place" is a much better version of the same song template IMO. simple melody/chord progression, but a much more appealing hook.

didn't like this song at first but now that there's a whole spectrum of Coldplay songs i love or tolerate or hate and it's kind of in the upper midrange, i have to answer "yes" to this thread

I went to their concert in 2008 or 09 or so, I was twelfth row in an arena. They played this song and I turned around to see ~20,000 people all gasp in wonder at the same time. The sharp intake of breath created a temporary vacuum, four people died of asphyxiation

I watched Shooting Fish the other month and every song on the soundtrack brought up that feeling of remembering that John Major ever existed and was Prime Minister

I remember watching a ton of MTV2 late at night back when I was a freshman in college, which was around when the video for Yellow came out, and it was one of my 2 am jams. So I've always liked it for that. I really like Parachutes, still.
