This exchange from the bottom of an economist article is kind of lol, super meta, and reaches a great peak.

"Chinacat, apparently you did not read the post where I wrote that Chinese graduate student in the US all say that learning in Chinese is much more difficult then learning in Chinese as long as they are somewhat fluent in English already."

"... learning in English..." your typo isn't it, the books they read are in English right, otherwise they have to read the translation (in Chinese), it's alway quite difficult to read something that's not the originally written but translation from other language, but that doesn't mean the Chinese itself is a difficult language, I think you are very confused and not a clear head thinker, ask a French speacker to read a French translation of a English book then I can imagine he might think "what on earth is this book about" if the translator is happen to be an idiot and knows little about French... same as if my English is not good then I have to read a silly Chinese translation of your post then I might laugh out silly, the Google idiot translator.

I def think that if "these kids need to be punished" outweighs "these kids are hilarious" in your brain, it's p solid litmus test for whether you're too old and playing for the wrong team.
