i would agree with your conclusion but not your thesis- the inherent value to the reader of capitalisation escapes me.

It's slightly less important than punctuation and paragraphing as a reading aid, but just like ALL CAPS are a strain to read, if you tried to read a book all in lowercase eventually you'd notice a similar strain.

I think readers would get used quickly to this improved democratic orthography. I bet there are studies showing how much time is wasted by people worldwide trying to find the stupid key that does the capitalization stuff. Time wasted and time is money and all that stuff that speaks the language of late capitalism that we can subvert to suit lazy-radical interests.
