don't have hard long term sales numbers at my fingertips, but their billboard numbers and first week sales are:

tyler: #5, 50k
Kendrick: #113, 5k

i doubt that they're much closer (i think tyler is up over 150) but kendrick has definitely picked up buzz as the year has progressed

i kind of feel like sales don't matter in rap unless something is positioned as a blockbuster make-or-break record for the artist or preceded by a big radio single. like on the facebook sandbox when people were lolling or acting shocked about pusha t's "quickie album that's part 2 of a free mixtape" or w/e not selling much, it's not like when they release his REAL album they won't be saying it's his 'solo debut,' it doesn't count.

still so weird to me that ppl were actually arguing about rap (let alone pusha t) on the facebook sandbox
