Oh god, speaking of, we're having some interminable department holiday lunch next week and one of my coworkers is going to be on vacation. Since she would miss the big shindig, her boss said that he would take her out to lunch today. At about 1:00 pm, he packed up his stuff, wished everyone a good weekend, and left without mentioning their lunch plans.

They contacted me and i joined them and now there are 2 (welve) Bergopff beers in my gut pouch.

There were a lot of man hugs. The partner of Jackassery, Ltd. who i usually really revile hugged me most and most frequently. He sucks but he did OK today.

I'm not drunk tho and you can tell bc I'm on the Clark bus and not a cab.

I'm keyed up and lonely.

I am a little freaked out by the crawling sloths and the bucket o'sloths, I have to say. I don't want to drown them, necessarily, but I don't think I want to go work at the sloth village, either.

We went to see Protomen (lol all ages show, we're home by 9:00) and... they were kind of amazing.

All ages show and Protomen were the second band, I should say. We'd still be there if we stayed for the headline. But instead we came home to watch STAR TREK.

That picture of the Protomen is not from the Metro, obv, but it was the best representation of their live show, which is very theatrical and kind of bananas.

There is a mid-20s, normal, clean cut guy on this brown train carrying an half-drunk 1500 ml bottle of red wine. Just sat down, stretched and yawned loudly and amiably.

Now he's drinking from the bottle and muttering.

Point is: Incongruous look + behavior.

Then there's the late 40s guy who looks totally normal, except he rode and got off alone with two empty strollers.
