Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a video for "Liberation Frequency," the song I was talking about, but you can watch a high school band play it really badly in a gym here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=-UWT5bbTCkY.

If you're into that kind of thing.

I wonder if I still have that album? I hope I do.

n/a (n/a), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 19:53 (seventeen years ago) link

I've got it if you don't. Ack, that record is like 8 years old!

Ack, that record is like 8 years old!

October 1998. So, yeah.

I wanna be a screamo in a sweater vest.

I'm on hold to place a pickup request from DHL. Their message begins with, "Due to the winter storm, we are currently experiencing a high call volume..." Excuses, excuses...

Calico (calico), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 20:13 (seventeen years ago) link

I am having a big mac attack.

Dethrone the dictaphone, hit it in it's funny bone (kenan), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 20:52 (seventeen years ago) link

Apricot walnut rugeleh. Take sides.

Metrosexual Healing (crunkleJ), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 20:57 (seventeen years ago) link

The rugelech. I haven't had a Big Mac in close to 10 years.

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 20:57 (seventeen years ago) link

Walnuts can fall off the tree and stain the driveways IN HELL, as far as I'm concerned. Apricot-only.

Laurel (Laurel), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 20:58 (seventeen years ago) link

I'll take the ruglah.

JordanC (JordanC), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 20:58 (seventeen years ago) link

i wonder if rugelach has more or less sugar than a big mac? prolly close to the same.

Dethrone the dictaphone, hit it in it's funny bone (kenan), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 20:58 (seventeen years ago) link

LOVE WALNUTS

Apricot is okay.

JordanC (JordanC), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 20:59 (seventeen years ago) link

I didn't mean take sides between the rugeleh and the Big Mac. I just meant exactly what I said.

Apricot-Walunt Rugeleh. Take sides.

(At Argo Tea they spell it "rugeleh.")

Metrosexual Healing (crunkleJ), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 20:59 (seventeen years ago) link

Hot Doug's, this Saturday, 11:30 am. So let it be written, so let it be done.

JordanC (JordanC), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 21:00 (seventeen years ago) link

Rugelach

XP: SO SAY WE ALL

Laurel (Laurel), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 21:00 (seventeen years ago) link

I meant to spell it like you did, Jesse. Somehow it acquire a glottal sound when I typed it.

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 21:01 (seventeen years ago) link

I'm having a tootsie roll. I don't believe I've ever had a Big Mac. When I ate meat, I liked the burgers at Burger King, but not McDonalds, though sometimes I'd just get fries there.

A guy at work posted a 24 calendar on the wall his mom gave him. Oh, I barely remember when 24 was my TV on DVD addiction...

Calico (calico), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 21:02 (seventeen years ago) link

Yesterday on the train there was a woman with a Bible doing some LOUD preaching. Unfortunately, she had 3 fans on the train who joined her in prayer and said loud "Amens" and "Hallelujahs" and "Praise Hims!" She took a prayer request from one man.

One guy yelled at her to STFU, but the others shut him up; one guy said, "That's the devil trying to silence you, Sister! Speak the Truth!"

Grrrrr.

Metrosexual Healing (crunkleJ), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 21:03 (seventeen years ago) link

How do you all have so many run ins with crazies? All I see are grumpy commuters.

Dethrone the dictaphone, hit it in it's funny bone (kenan), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 21:04 (seventeen years ago) link

I misled you all with my prior statement.

And irritating subway musicians. I hate those dudes. They do not add color, they are just bad.

It smells faintly of antifreeze in my office.

I want to express preliminary interest in going to Hot Doug's Saturday, but will reserve judgement until I see how I feel that morning.

I don't think this woman was necessarily mentally ill, just a rabid, obnoxious Christian.

I don't care about snow, or Valentine's, or nutritional content of ANYTHING today, because I'm wearing these, and they make it all better:

OK, so I am going to be going out on a date sometime next week. But now I am dreading it because I'm scared of dates. I reeeealllly don't like dating. Would that I could just skip the dating and have an LTR.

Wow, those legs.

Hey Jordan, is there any chance of getting on the guest list for Friday's show? I wasn't planning on coming, but then I realized that I might be very close to the Green Mill that night, so I could maybe pop in for a little while.

On Saturday I am playing a fundraiser for a GAY ALDERMANIC CANDIDATE.

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 21:12 (seventeen years ago) link

I want to register for socks from that site for the wedding, um, night.

He's from New Orleans. And he works for United (!).
Jesse, no! First, he'd convince you to move to NO. Then, he'd be away all the time being a hot flight attendant and not attending to you.

Calico (calico), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 21:14 (seventeen years ago) link

I don't mind dates, my MO has historically been to get drunk and make out somewhere. It's transitioning from dates to dating that seems to be the problem. Cue eye roll.

Laurel (Laurel), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 21:16 (seventeen years ago) link

Jesse: at least you know he's not a boi...?

Laurel (Laurel), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 21:17 (seventeen years ago) link

He's not a flight attendant. He's a safety trainer or something.

He actually moved here from San Fran.

Metrosexual Healing (crunkleJ), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 21:17 (seventeen years ago) link

Jesse: at least you know he's not a boi...?
