Willie has everything he needs to be happy - including a nemesis!

Horror of horrors.
When I applied for my passport, I found out my mother was born in Hastings.

FATES OF DOOM.

The entanglements go deep, clearly...

No, Sara, it's actually his "girlfriend" Max.

Awwwwww... "Lady and the Tramp III..." - although that doesn't quite work with a poodle and a bichon frise (sp?!), does it...

WHAT TEH COCAINE BULLSHIT IS THAT?

Geza T iz tha Rainy G. Toronado (The GZeus), Tuesday, 2 January 2007 05:54 (seventeen years ago) link

I wonder if putting my head in a clamp would make me feel better about this 'no smoking in the middle of the night' rule I made for myself.

Geza T iz tha Rainy G. Toronado (The GZeus), Tuesday, 2 January 2007 10:41 (seventeen years ago) link

Hmmm, is that your New Year's resolution?

I thought I'd do something easy and make sure to take a multivitamin every day. I pulled them out of the cupboard yesterday - expired! I took one anyway, though. What the hell.

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Tuesday, 2 January 2007 17:04 (seventeen years ago) link

Expired vitamin=lower nutritional value. That's all.

It's not quite a new years resolution as a realisation that my body was too diseased to keep smoking, and it wasn't fun any more.
4 puffs every two hours.
No smoking in the car.
No smoking when I wake up unless I plan on staying that way.

I accidentally smoked in my car once, but stuck to the 4 puff rule.

Once these rules no longer feel like torture or this pack is out(Hayamonokachi) I'll start taking this new drug that makes nicottene not enter your system while reducing cravings.

Geza T iz tha Rainy G. Toronado (The GZeus), Tuesday, 2 January 2007 17:13 (seventeen years ago) link

I figured that about the vitamins, and better something than nothing, right? I need to buy vitamins that I don't avoid taking. Back to the Flintstones chewables, I guess.

Good luck with the smoking reduction/stopping. I imagine it's not fun.

Ugh, that doesn't sound good. Hang in there.

In other news, HSTNGS Thread still without picture of Willie the Poodle! suzy, have you been kidnapped by snow aliens?

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Tuesday, 2 January 2007 22:35 (seventeen years ago) link

I can at least keep it together around people or when I'm busy.

I stopped by my old Primerica office to see some of the old folks I worked with.
I'm glad to see most of them are still around.

Geza T iz tha Rainy G. Toronado (The GZeus), Tuesday, 2 January 2007 23:12 (seventeen years ago) link

Staying busy, is, I swear, the secret to everything.

Primerica. You don't know T0dd 0'H4ll0r4n, do you? (Also - Hastings connection there.)

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Tuesday, 2 January 2007 23:42 (seventeen years ago) link

No, I've been off interviewing K. Ellison and watching his sendoff to Congress. Don't have the doohickey to put pics into pooter so no online poodling until I'm back in LDN.

I also spent $100 in about 30 seconds at the Kiehl's counter at Nordstrom today...

suzy artskooldisko (suzy artskooldisko), Wednesday, 3 January 2007 03:53 (seventeen years ago) link

I don't think there was a T0dd of that name at my office(Woodbury).

John, The Severed Heads stuff need to be obtained by you, so I should go to John Home some time this week or next with hard drives and things.
I might talk to you tomorrow at 3clipse, but not if youre in the midst of horrors of Inventories.

Geza T iz tha Rainy G. Toronado (The GZeus), Wednesday, 3 January 2007 04:28 (seventeen years ago) link

suzy - how cool! It sounds like you have been having fun. Sooooo jealous about the Kiehl's counter. Supposed to be fabulous. Beyond that, I know nothing about it. Recent obsession: the MAC counter. And the MAC store... looking forward to seeing Willie soon.

I don't know what office T0dd 0. worked at. Possible he gave it, not sure there.

January inventory for John. Ugh. It's sad to say that I prefer dealing with Quicken and the crazy mistakes one of my Dad's managers consistently makes.

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Wednesday, 3 January 2007 05:04 (seventeen years ago) link

MAC is good makeup.
And far too expensive if anything remotely comperable is available.
I used to wear a dark silver lipstick from there in my gothlinger days.

Everything else was cheap. Almay one-coat mascara(RULES) CoverGirl eyeliner(Easy to use, otherwise it FUCKING SUCKS).

I was pale enough that dying my hair and eyebrows black made me look downright BLUE.

Geza T iz tha Rainy G. Toronado (The GZeus), Wednesday, 3 January 2007 07:55 (seventeen years ago) link

MAC lipstick = everyday necessity. $14/tube is not that bad. I say this as a former Lancome user, though. (MAC gloss, lip liner, and eyeshadow, also awesome).

Did you want to look blue?

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Wednesday, 3 January 2007 14:12 (seventeen years ago) link

Gothlinger=yes.

I evnetually started intentionally 'tanning.'
AKA driving in a convertable with my shirt off because it's hot.

Now I just don't care.

it's somehow related to kids, so people are afraid and don't go there.

It's decayed, though. Which makes me happy.

Usually a weekend afternoon in winter is the last time I'll agree to go to MOA, but my parents wanted to take us out for lunch, and that's where they wanted to go. I'll put up with tons of people for free food.

But yeah, weeknights are much better. You don't have to wait a half hour just to get help finding a lipstick at the MAC store. (grumble grumble)

4l3x has a Lite Brite cube. It's so fun to play with! (He also has... do you call it a Spirograph? I can't remember, but it is definitely something that was available when we were kids.)

J. is finally getting old enough to play with fun toys. THANKFULLY.

John Justen, surrounded by frail, wispy people. (John Justen), Monday, 12 February 2007 17:26 (seventeen years ago) link

Chin up, John. We can entertain ourselves by coming up with new nicknames for you. I propose "Tofu."

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Monday, 12 February 2007 17:43 (seventeen years ago) link

The tofu might be the reason for all the frail, wispy people.

I'm frail and wispy everywhere but where it might cause problems on my wedding night. You know, my penis?

Does tofu attract wispy types? Someone commission a study AT ONCE.

it results IN wispy if they exercise as much as most americans.

I don't like finding that music I payed for is in fact 'mastered' from old vinyl.
Especially when it's been remastered.
i'm not normally a fan of the whole remastering thing, but if the alternative is something this poorly done(channels fading in and out despite obvious compression, flutter, jitter...)

Anyone else noticed that every time ilx turns to the sandbox and returns it gets more retarded?

Geza T iz tha Rainy G. Toronado (The GZeus), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 02:11 (seventeen years ago) link

It doesn't bother me so much, but it's not as interesting. The good side is that because there are fewer threads to randomly run across and have to read, I am getting more studying and housekeeping done. (Or possibly just more napping and socializing, but whatever.)

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 05:13 (seventeen years ago) link

Wuthering Heights is something I'm taking very slowly. A chapter a day, followed by manga or just sitting with music.

Vampires Eat Christians.

Geza T iz tha Rainy G. Toronado (The GZeus), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 05:24 (seventeen years ago) link

I remember nothing about reading Wuthering Heights. I'm slowly working through my physiology book. This is seriously the weirdest science class I've ever had (which is saying something, believe me).

Okay, I have not done laundry for two days because I was out of the house too much. Next 24 hours are all about clean underwear.

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 05:27 (seventeen years ago) link

That reminds me, one sermon I liked back in the day was based around the idea "God only punishes his own children."

Years later I was somehow not a follower but a believer and kept thinking "I've gotta get this damn holy spirit out of my body! it's fucking with me!"

Organised religions, particularly ones that deny the validity of alternatives, are insane/for the insane.
My schizo-affective friend? Christian...who writes comedy-rap about necrophilia and zombies.
David Tibet(wikipedia Current 93, folks) has done the logical extreme with any polar concept(go far enough left and you'll find yourself sitting next to the far right, vice versa) and gone from Crowley-esque pseudo-satanism to Catholicism.
The other side of that coin is David Eugene Edwards, singer of The Woven Hand and Sixteen Horsepower. His music is so devout that it's terrifying.

Physiology sounds interesting. However, if it's anything like anatomy...it isn't.

Geza T iz tha Rainy G. Toronado (The GZeus), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 05:37 (seventeen years ago) link

Anatomy = Structure; Physiology = Function. It's more complicated, but more interesting. Plus lab is (so far) a lot easier. (Ha, except we had to run up flights of stairs tonight; some of us were wearing heels or boots). Oh yeah, and the animal phys class I took at Olaf was awful; particularly the lab where we were asked to pith frogs. There are a few things I just can't do.

I have the choice between Biomedical Ethics and Christian Ethics next term. Guess which one I'm taking...

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 05:42 (seventeen years ago) link

I'm willing to admit that I'm prejudiced against certain people.
Christians are at the top of that list by faaaar.
Japanese language group, native american dude shows up, says he went to japan as a 'Senkyoushi.'
I was like "I think i know what that means, but I don't remember at all."
He said something about a church.
"Oh a missionary..."*feigns interest, long pause, contunies conversation with the transexual sitting next to him*
