Asked about how he felt about having the NBA refuse to authorize his trade for Pau Gasol, Morey said, "On the advice of counsel I can't talk about it."

Morey said he "literally" had been advised by legal counsel, but would not specify why he had discussion with an attorney (Morey's counsel advised that the NBA may even fine him if he was too outspoken about the subject).

"I just can't comment on that," Morey said.

I really do hope the NBA gets sued over it.

b roy played in the right city. he will always be adored by portlanders, even if he lives to be 100. and for damn good reason.

I'm glad Roy gets the rest of his contract money, rather than nothing due to retirement.

He would have got paid if it was a medical retirement, just insurance and not Paul Allen would've paid for most of it.

tbf the vince carter contract is only for the new 'luxury tax payers exemption' (like $3m) and only guaranteed for a year, so theyre basically playing back up prices for a back up quality player w/no long term risk

kinda crazy that vince and billups got signed for 3 and 2 mill respectively
