I used to use Old Spice, but when we first started dating, my wife complained that yeah, I smelled like her grandpa.

always weear old spice original deodorant which smells like obviously old spice. a little while ago this girl i was into texted me to say that the guy standing in frotn of her in church was wearing the same cologne as me. it was like exciting to know that we were close enough that she'd remember what i spread on my underarms to smell good and exciting that she was thinking of me while in church. i imagined the guy was probably pretty old though wearing a sears arnold palmer shirt sprinkled with old spice cologne. but eh.

My dad alternated between Old Spice and Brut for he was a classy man.

My dad briefly used Old Spice, but I mostly remember him using a cologne that came in this novelty truck bottle:

The two exes I can recall who used cologne used Eternity for Men and some wanky Italian one like Dolce and Gabbana that I don't recall the name of, just that it was overly spicy and weird.

My father uses Azzaro Pour Homme, which is one of the all-time-great dad aftershaves, imo.

I had a long term affair with Kevin Keegan in the late 70s and early 80s, so yes

My best friend's grandmother sold Avon and she had a closet full of novelty cologne bottles.
6yo me was all about Sweet Honesty in a snowman bottle.

I had Sweet Honesty in a lamb-shaped bottle. Even at 11, I thought it was a bit cloying.

Had to vote 'no'.

The marketing guys at Old Spice are very aware of their image problem and have spent the last two decades trying to break the association with Old Spice being your dad/granddad's deoderant. The tall, cylindrical, dark-green packaging is gone (though the scent is still available in the new flat red dispensers as "classic scent"; most of their scents now target at the younger crowd like "Red Zone" to compete with Right Guard and Gillette.

But even the other scents retain some sort of distinct Old Spice base. I was wearing one of the more recent versions when my wife called me out for smelling like her grandpa.

I like the near endless possible permutations on this thread though: Does the smell of CKone remind you of an ex? etc.

Does the smell of Drakkar Noir remind you of high school dances?

aw man i didn't see this important poll!Old Spice *does* remind me of an ex! he was allergic to antiperspirant and so at the time old spice deodorant was the only kind he had found that he could use. don't think i didn't make fun of him for it. i mean, i was 18/19 and old spice was lol. it worked for him tho, somehow.
