i am 100% behind burgers for hangovers. a few weeks ago i spent all day miserable and finally for dinner i got a delicious hamburger and suddenly felt amazingly better.

today i tried: powerbar, coffees, water, tea, chicken sandwich, advil. i still feel kinda shitty (though i didn't rly feel that drunk last night thanks to awesome sandwich eaten mid-drinking, so this lethargy is kinda pissing me off!).

worst hangover- puking every 1/2 hour to hour the morning after during an 18 hour drive back to Virginia, because i had to work in 19 hours. my friend and i were taking turns driving and constantly swerving off the road and puking in parking lots, exit ramps, medians. We finally took a turn for the better at 5pm and ate some Taco Bell.

it's the dabblers who have a problem. they never achieve what i like to call "drinker's high" which is similar to what a marathon runner feels when they pass their own perceived limitations.

On my kitchen table at home is a now half-empty bottle of y'olde Jimmy Beam with a hand-made (magic marker & index card) "MCCUTCHEON 60 YEAR WHISKY" label duct-taped onto it, a half-finished scrabble game, and the detritus of broken dreams.

on my coffee table at home is a now all but empty bottle of jim beam. contents of said bottle enjoyed leisurely last night in celebration of new records and it being warm enough to smoke outside without needing a scarf and hat. and also, because it was tuesday.
