Yeh. Or it was just tapping. I feel a real interspecies connection when my cat reaches out and touches me.

Awwww. My cat pats my face like that all the time, no claws. The one you've got to watch out for is the stretch-n-claw, when she's all comfy on your lap and stretches out and contentedly digs those claws right into your leg.

I woke up and thought I had a dream last night where my cat wouldn't stop poking at my face, and later realized it probably wasn't a dream. When he does this, his claws are out just enough for me not to be able to ignore the claw but not enough to puncture anything. Sigh.
