I am semi-dreading Valentines Day. Last year a tarte tatin was thrown. We won't be having that this year.

Tarte tatin isn't as aerodynamic as a Frisbee, but it's stickier. Very difficult to get off things..... and people.

Plenty of tarte tatin on the South Circular if you go up there at certain times of the weekend...

Didn't take much if any notice of Valentine's Day before now, but Lena's keen on it, so we've sent each other some nice packages with pressies and things, and I'm furiously busy writing up something for CoM so I can post it tomorrow.

Nothing like romance to get me working! ;-)

As I say every year, Valentine's Day is actually my birthday so it's a good excuse to a) take my single friends out and get twatted, and b) never feel emo ever. Hooray.

My husband stopped to buy me some flowers on the way back from work once, in a wonderfully spontaneous romantic gesture. Except he was on his motorbike at the time and since he had no panniers, he'd stuck the flowers down the front of his motorbike jacket and on arrival home he flourishingly presented me with a dozen long-stemmed stems.

This is spectacularly sappy, but in addition to other terrific presents, she customized a bunch of candy hearts for me with sandpaper and food-coloring markers, and I just think that's the coolest thing ever.

My mom likes to send packages with homemade cards whenever a minor holiday arises. She's the cutest. I always get a box with candy corn in it around Halloween.
