it is not a done deal until I get an offer and respond in the affirmative. this has not happened yet because "The prime is out until tuesday." meaning that the new-job equiv. of my current boss's boss on the LM side is not around, which sounds familiar.

From what I've heard I should be getting a better deal being hired by this sub company rather than directly hired by GD though.
