the way to win titles is to make good picks. This goes for all sports. You can occasionally collude your way to a title like the Lakers did with Shaq but in general you win by drafting well and signing value free agents: mavs, bulls (90s), Spurs etc etc etc.

yeah but the hawks signed joe johnson to a bajillion dollar contract, so they screwed themselves. also they don't have anyone nearly as good as blake griffin.

Weird to keep Bledsoe not Gordon. I guess the thought is there are more wings than point guards and Bledsoe has more time before an extension needs to be offered.

Some reports are that NOLA wanted Bledsoe more, I'm guessing as a direct replacement for Paul and because they have more time to judge him before offering big money.

But they should be able to get one of the bazillion point guards from Minny; reports are saying they've signed Barea.

thats weird to want bledsoe more, seems like gordon is p clearly the superior player, and there are like one million good young point guards and no good young shooting guards

Couldn't disagree with Sheridan more, especially for a team desperate for a buyer. It'll be a hose job and yet better than the initial 3-way trade with Lakers and Rockets because that initial offer was shit two years down the road. This way they have Bledsoe, Aminu and the Minny pick to build around.
