a mediocre black-and-white cookie in a cellophane wrapper (hanks1ockli), Friday, 22 December 2006 17:54 (seventeen years ago) link

haha, that's how i read it too!
but yeah, totally fuck UdotPdotS - do they think they're the mob?? are they??

impermanent rrrobyn (rrrobyn), Friday, 22 December 2006 18:04 (seventeen years ago) link

brokerage fees are a pain in the ass, but they're not the fault of UPS! if you had something shipped int'lly, it should be the responsibility of the shipper to inform you of the possibility of import taxes, duties, etc etc.

elmo albatross (allocryptic), Friday, 22 December 2006 18:14 (seventeen years ago) link

but they never do! and shippers usually don't even give you the option of just using regular mail! i understand duty fees, sure, but i don't know how 'brokerage' fees are calculated
