I said he was a great rebounder with surprising post moves who also is a headcase. What part do you disagree with?

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:04 (twelve years ago) link

Biedrins' best seasons were pretty clearly better than Deandre, but since then he's just gone off the rails and is a total headcase now. But saying he's a great rebounder who has started sucking since he got paid isn't being "the Geir of ILH" it's the fucking standard story about Biedrins.

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:07 (twelve years ago) link

just kidding, sorry!

u really think he'll have a decent season this time?

moonbop, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:09 (twelve years ago) link

not unless he sees an awesome shrink

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:09 (twelve years ago) link

i feel like the warriors always make the most pointless FA signings

v-shasty, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:10 (twelve years ago) link

i don't think deandre jordan would really change my feelings in that regard

v-shasty, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:10 (twelve years ago) link

warriors are always entertainingly crazy, yes

Brandon Roy today, btw.

nets offer nene 65m over 4 years.

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:13 (twelve years ago) link

that's so absurd

clay, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:15 (twelve years ago) link

get that money, boo boo

v-shasty, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:18 (twelve years ago) link

Prokhorov is gonna end up being one of the worst owners ever, it seems.

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:26 (twelve years ago) link

imagine the crazy shit he'll do if deron leaves.

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:27 (twelve years ago) link

chris palmer is so dumb. i follow him on twitter for some reason and always notice that his tweets are dumb; i also accidentally read his dumb espn articles occasionally. i just put two and two together wrt who he is

k3vin k., Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:33 (twelve years ago) link

this off season has been such an unimaginable shitshow

v-shasty, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:34 (twelve years ago) link

it's gotta be the worst offseason ever for the nba by a helluva margin

clay, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:38 (twelve years ago) link

i'm so obsessed with "basketball reasons"

moonbop, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:38 (twelve years ago) link

Stern's comments were pretty clear on the league leaving all decisions up to demps and Sperling. I wonder what he'll say about that when he's finally interviewed. Maybe just refuse to discuss it?

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:41 (twelve years ago) link

I feel like there will be a book written about that decision

clay, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:42 (twelve years ago) link

well what happens when they trade david west for jermaine o neal and avery bradley

v-shasty, Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:48 (twelve years ago) link

I kinda like the kings moves. They overpaid a bit for both of them but they need to get up to the salary floor anyway and I like both guys a lot.

is it possible they just flip him for howard? cuz lol

k3vin k., Saturday, 10 December 2011 05:49 (twelve years ago) link

the magic have given dwight howard's agent permission to speak with three teams -- the lakers, nets, and mavericks -- about possible trades with orlando.

Daniel, Esq., Saturday, 10 December 2011 08:43 (twelve years ago) link

Also, talks have begun again for the trade that could send CP3 to LAL in a three-way deal also involving houston. league sources say it's progressing well, and there may be a resolution by saturday.

all this via wojo's twitter feed.

if by worst you mean most entertaining

dayo, Saturday, 10 December 2011 11:49 (twelve years ago) link

Hell yeah. I hope, by the time the preseason is over, Chris Paul has been traded and untraded to every team in the NBA.

Celtics appear to have locked up Chris Wilcox. So they have a tweener Center to go with all their Power Forwards.

EZ Snappin, Saturday, 10 December 2011 14:23 (twelve years ago) link

kobe: "they'll get over it, once i show them the door in about 12 hours. where's CP3?"

Daniel, Esq., Saturday, 10 December 2011 14:59 (twelve years ago) link

kobe: i would kill them in their sleep if i thought it would benefit me in some small way

Cooper Chucklebutt, Saturday, 10 December 2011 15:13 (twelve years ago) link

kobe is so funny - nobody irl acts like that but he bought into the media image that he should act like that

what a robot

dayo, Saturday, 10 December 2011 15:14 (twelve years ago) link

kobe: next, i'm going to feast on CP3's virgin blood to rejuvenate my aging knees.

Daniel, Esq., Saturday, 10 December 2011 15:20 (twelve years ago) link

kobe: don't judge me, i need it to live.

Daniel, Esq., Saturday, 10 December 2011 15:20 (twelve years ago) link

so the david west deal went through? lol wtf

amon, Saturday, 10 December 2011 16:35 (twelve years ago) link

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 10 December 2011 16:36 (twelve years ago) link

Cooper Chucklebutt, Saturday, 10 December 2011 17:32 (twelve years ago) link

So how do small market teams and Stern benefit if Chris Paul is not traded and leaves as a free agent at the end of the season?

Another Suburbanite, Saturday, 10 December 2011 17:35 (twelve years ago) link

its not abt not trading paul, its abt that nola was getting completely hosed in that particular trade

Cooper Chucklebutt, Saturday, 10 December 2011 17:39 (twelve years ago) link

in fact i wouldnt be surprised if he did get moved to the lakers w/a party than houston as the third team

Cooper Chucklebutt, Saturday, 10 December 2011 17:40 (twelve years ago) link

what any team wants when they are forced to move a superstar and go into rebuilding mode is some combo of good young players, quality draft picks, and cap relief, they got none of those things!

― Cooper Chucklebutt, Friday, December 9, 2011 11:41 AM (Yesterday) Bookmark Permalink

stern has since confirmed that this was in fact his motivation for negging the trade

Cooper Chucklebutt, Saturday, 10 December 2011 17:41 (twelve years ago) link

-also wanted to practice techniques he learned from reading the game

"Yes, we've been given autonomy to make another trade," Hornets general manager Dell Demps told reporters at a news conference Friday night.
