dudes, the whole tower going out of business thing is great and all, but i go in there and there's nothing i don't have or don't think i couldn't find on soulseek. i usually just pull stuff i think is rad to the front of a stack so people who actually like spending money on CDs can feel lucky they came in the store.

2006 mix is a little easier on the ear than the 2005 mix, it doesn't feel like an xmas mix without bantam rooster's "let's just fuck for christmas" though, so leaving that off may have been a mistake.

i don't think i had ever heard the raiders xmas song on the xmas mix. thanks for that!

nah, i never have. i'm sure they are fine. i like the first one, but for some reason i never end up playing the whole thing. it's nice and mellow though. be good at bed time. my copy is actually tom rapp's. he gave it to his friend lucy and she gave it to me cuz she never listened to it and she knew i liked him. lucy is the world's foremost authority on lady gregory:

Oh thanks - You know, I am not a big XTC/Robyn Hitchcock guy at all. (I do like the first Soft Boys record and I Often Dream of Trains and Fegmania.) But I am open to it. Do you have the Paul Roland album mentioned on that blog post, Scott? That's an interesting record. Kind of sounds like if Nikki Sudden had a band full of prog heads.
