we had a guitar listening in lecture on monday and in the lot was a Z-3 i thought was pretty sleek. the sound wasn't very near tele territory imo but seemed like you could cover a whole lotta ground w/ the coil-tap and all. liked it quite a bit.

yeah like ten minutes ago actually cuz my phone is stupid. i'll either be up tmr or um... actually prob more like tuesday idk. i'll call ya abt pricing or w/e when i figure out what's going on.

i think it was a USA Z-3 the dude was playing--do the tribute comanches do all the coil tap business or are they more straightforward?

unless it was really weird, i think instead of coil tapping it must have been an on/off switch for the neck pickup prob (so you can get the bridge/neck and all on combos without fucking up the standard 5 way switching. thx to the z coil design, if you coil tapped you would basically turn off half of the strings.

I did end up buying myself a Tribute Classic Semi-Hollow. It's my first new guitar in over a decade and I'm so fucking thrilled.

the guy was tapping all three pickups, i'm positive. i think each coil in each of the Z was tapped halfway through the winds? like on the tux deluxe?

or: misinformation.

also xpost congrats on the guit!
