See that's just me - I'd much rather the No1 that half the listeners found "completely unlistenable" and the other half were all "wheee, best! thing! evah!" than some blahblah consensus pick that no one could find anything particularly wrong with but no one was willing to go handbags at dawn over. (repeat to fade)

Fairly sure that's accounting from the cross-the-board high placings for the Metronomy album as well. Which is kind of... not bad exactly but really is this it?

I am generally pro-Metronomy but I couldn't get an aural hold on that album. Think it's leftover goodwill from ignoring them before? Dunno.

I was reading about the Metronomy album and it sounded kind of interesting, in a conceptual way - but that said I really didn't like the c2008/9 album they did at all. Utterly ghastly. Is this any better/different?

kmt = caribbean diasporic slang that has become part of the lingua franca of british urban youth. i dunno, do your own research. tons of people i know use it
