like all the "nba is fixed, evil always triumphs in the nba, stern is power-mad" stuff was just hangin out there live on the espy crawl, but in a totally unexpected, wild way

*espn obv
― clay, Friday, 9 December 2011 07:47 (twelve years ago) link
when i heard the trade was final i said 'get ready for hella conspiracy theories'
― Cooper Chucklebutt, Friday, 9 December 2011 07:53 (twelve years ago) link
but it wouldve been p funny if the trade had gone through and it became the season the average working man realized kobe was cooked as the lakers went out in the 2nd round
― Cooper Chucklebutt, Friday, 9 December 2011 07:54 (twelve years ago) link
lakers got swept in round 2 last year!
― clay, Friday, 9 December 2011 07:57 (twelve years ago) link
The nba has been fixed AT LEAST since Shaq went to the Lakers
― Mr Jimmy Mod, Friday, 9 December 2011 07:58 (twelve years ago) link
so gasol + 2 playoff games = paul - one kobe year
― Cooper Chucklebutt, Friday, 9 December 2011 07:58 (twelve years ago) link
this p much proves its not fixed is the thing
― Cooper Chucklebutt, Friday, 9 December 2011 07:59 (twelve years ago) link
also san antonio winning all those rings, and other events
― Cooper Chucklebutt, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:00 (twelve years ago) link

If ds or etc nixes a perfectly legal trade under the CBa there is no other interpretation
― Mr Jimmy Mod, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:02 (twelve years ago) link
dude the nba owns the new orleans hornets basketball team

Which is why their decision to not make the trade is ultra fishy, since the hornets were the big winners in the deal.
― Matt Armstrong, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:06 (twelve years ago) link
lollllllllllllllll
― Cooper Chucklebutt, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:07 (twelve years ago) link
not trading paul means losing him for nothing. The best sixth man in the league, 2 good starters, dragic and a first rounder >>>>>> nothing.
― Matt Armstrong, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:09 (twelve years ago) link
it wasn't as good as the Carmelo deal but it was close.
― Matt Armstrong, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:10 (twelve years ago) link
the vetoing of this trade had nothing to do with the best interests of the Hornets franchise.
― Matt Armstrong, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:12 (twelve years ago) link
fyi they are going to trade paul, and get better than the bag of rancid shit they were offered, srsly look at what you just wrote, the first guy is the 'best sixth man' that doesnt even mean anything, chris paul is a top five player in the nab, had this trade gone through it wouldve been prob the all time most lopsided trade in nba history, w/the rockets somehow getting the good dudes from the lakers while giving up a steaming pile of crap to nola, i mean id be investing their gm right now for kickbacks
― Cooper Chucklebutt, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:12 (twelve years ago) link
matt luv u dawg but you have no idea wtf youre talking abt at all
lol stop it
― v-shasty, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:13 (twelve years ago) link
had this trade gone through it wouldve been prob the all time most lopsided trade in nba history
This is really silly.
― Matt Armstrong, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:14 (twelve years ago) link
i did not read the thread but can someone explain to me why l.a.'s good players were going to houston who were then moving a bunch of dudes and picks no one in their right mind gives a fuck abt to nola, ITS BOGGLING
― Cooper Chucklebutt, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:16 (twelve years ago) link
matt out off all the shit nola was getting where would you rate the best guy, is there even a top 30 player in there, for the best point guard in the game, you have to be fucking joking
― Cooper Chucklebutt, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:17 (twelve years ago) link
"Good players"
Dude Houston was just getting Gasol.
― Matt Armstrong, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:17 (twelve years ago) link
one player
that is the best non paul player in the trade, the only guy w/any real value just fyi
― Cooper Chucklebutt, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:18 (twelve years ago) link
the hornets were clearly taking the nuggets approach of gathering a bunch of very good players
― v-shasty, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:18 (twelve years ago) link
yeah but did you not realize houston wasn't getting Odom?
― Matt Armstrong, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:18 (twelve years ago) link
xp
― Matt Armstrong, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:19 (twelve years ago) link
its like: paul >> gasol >>>>>>>>>>> who gives fuck
― Cooper Chucklebutt, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:19 (twelve years ago) link
I like that this is what's occupying neuilx@ 330 ET
― Mr Jimmy Mod, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:19 (twelve years ago) link
i'd rather have scola, martin, odom and a first round pick than odom and gasol, which is what NOLA would be looking at

there were zero really good players going to nola, and just obvs paul is like 0x better than melo, AND denver got back better doods
― Cooper Chucklebutt, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:20 (twelve years ago) link
A FIRST ROUND PICK wtf a meaningless term if there ever was one
10x better than melo obvs
― Cooper Chucklebutt, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:21 (twelve years ago) link
i personally could move paul for a better package than nola got by tomorrow guaranteed

I keep trying to respond to you and then you say things like that
predict kickback scandal w/nolas gm whoever the fuck that guys is
― Matt Armstrong, Friday, December 9, 2011 3:22 AM (32 seconds ago) Bookmark Permalink
this is called knowing what pick its gonna be, first round is meaningless in the sense that a top 5 pick is very good, a bottom five pick isnt worth the rookie contract, now tell me which that pick is likely to land closer to
― Cooper Chucklebutt, Friday, 9 December 2011 08:24 (twelve years ago) link
AND denver got back better doods

Danilo is a better asset in general (and they got those robusto unprotected FIRST ROUNDERS), so it was a better deal by far. But the players they got aren't better in the short term than Martin and Scola.
