Overdue Rental, no plans to return

I am currently renting a jeep wrangler. We headed to the Utah desert when this whole quarantine thing started. When I rented the jeep I said I would return about a week ago. We are having fun with no intent to return soon. The last time I rented a car the same thing happened and the person at the Hertz counter told me no big deal it’s the same cost per day or week. Just return it when I want.

So two days ago I got a call from corporate saying my car is overdue. They told me they actually sold the car And I need to return it as soon as possible. Here’s the issue I am at least a four hour round-trip drive to the closest Hertz that doesn’t have another jeep to give me.

I am president circle if that means anything. Should I just return it when I want? Are they going to hit me with any big fees? If I keep it it’ll be at least another seven days.

Non-profit cat behavior consulting and pet grief consulting

I am trying to decide on an NTEE code. My nonprofit organization will provide cat behavior consulting, pet grief consulting by text, phone and sometimes but very rarely in person.

Could Ball Lightning be Sentient?

Few have seen this phenomenon, but it is surely a sigh to behold. It's not like normal lightning though (which travels quickly in pretty much a straight line) - it weaves and swoops and can get into the kitchen. Perhaps these motions are not brownian or chaotic but the first steps of a light baby? Maybe there is so much voltage that the air particles act like neurons and this create can be formed.

It would surely be a cursed existence because it doesn't appear to have any senses, except for that time it went in a window, but maybe there is more to these creatures than we understand.
The brain has got electricity in it, but if you cut your brain in half (don't try this at home) you become two people because there is no electrical link. Which suggests electricity could be the thing that separates life from no life. Maybe circuits have a soul too or maybe the conditions aren't right.

Is this possible? Could brain-like conditions emerge from air and lightning?
Thinking about why ball lightning would be sentient and regular lightning not sentient, that is a good question. I would think it's because the electricity goes so fast it doesn't have a chance to think.

I've been there after a trip to Pinnacles NP, it's quite nice. The road to get there from the west was in terrible shape, but the place itself if nice. You get your own outdoor tub to fill as you please, and there is a nice view. There is also a normal swimming pool, and a clothing optional area, again with individual tubs. No one there was nude aside from me, though. They have shade umbrellas you can move around for sunny days. I'd definitely go back if I was passing through.

I love chaotic people who talk a lot

I like people who get angry over minor things, people who get excited over little things, people who are devastated because they lost an eyelash, nail, or argument. One of my favorite things in the world is to just listen and respond to people who are chaos. I know they often feel self conscious because they think they talk too much or dont think before they speak but I fucking love them. I dont have to work hard to read any sub context in their words or expressions because they tell me exactly how they feel in that moment. It might be completely different the next moment but I'm along for the ride. Their faces show how they think and feel. Its so relaxing. I dont like the sound of my own voice for very long personally so I prefer to listen to other people's and just respond and ask more questions. So, if you are a chaotic and expressive person, just know, I fucking love you. Also, message me sometime and tell me whatever crazy thing just happened 5 minutes ago. I dont care if people call you a drama lover, I will love your drama. Also, if you are another person who enjoys the chaos of others, I hope you find many extreme people to feed the addiction and open up new thoughts and worldviews for you. That is all I have to say today.

i've been contracting my gigs for the past 12 years. so i'm kind of semiretired at 60. took the last few years mostly off after a car accident, went through my nest egg, got back to hustling this year. january-feb - 5k contract in nebraska. picked up a full time gig washing dishes at a korean restaurant just to keep busy at the same time. march, nothing. april-june worked for wages at amazon while my gigs were on hold due to covid. made $6k so i could invest it in tesla, but mostly missed that boat. july $6k contract in phoenix. currently on the east coast caretaking for mom. thinking about appying for a low level management gig at amazon for the upcoming peak season. meanwhile i have a couple tenants and some passive income. it's an oil lease so making almost nothing right now. i usually do plasma when not at a gig. i had some plans to write a book or article for kindle, but writer's block. i have one lawsuit going right now, that i'm somewhat mismanaging.

Would an academic career in vet med be right for me given the circumstances?

• I am a young woman with a veterinary medical degree from Myanmar. However, given the political situation in Burma and given my own role in it, I cannot document my degree. In fact, Burma won't allow me to document anything. I am not originally from Burma though.
• My high school was in London, Ontario and I can document my high school for sure. I lived in the US most of my life until I met a dashing guy from Burma. I moved with him to London first and then to Burma after high school and eventually joined the vet school in Burma. My dashing hero was killed by Burma which is when I became an activist until I was banned from that country.
• I am familiar with advanced vet surgery and have significant experience at a public zoo in Burma. I have operated on everything from lions, one giraffe, two tigers, elephants, ostriches, cows, bears, many dogs, wolves, etc.
• Later I branched out into vet oncology and also have two oncology papers published in the top medical journals.

I moved to Canada last year and then this year moved to the US. Ideally, I'd like a career in academic vet med at a research university, but I realize this is impossible immediately, given that I cannot document any of my credentials from Burma.

If an academic career in vet med is impossible, what would you advice me? I need a way to pay my bills as I am running low on my funds.

I think you should talk to institutions you’re interested in. They may have options. From your experience it sounds like they’d be idiots not to find a way to work with you.
