i want to make them because i have a buttload of time and my parents' kitchen and money. also i love them. and i found out they are packed in brine and sold in jars. we don't have a trader joe's. i'm going to look in the frou-frou store tomorrow. i might have to forget about it.

ok i did it, it worked and only took like 3 hours, maybe (not counting boiling and letting sit overnight). i found them in an italian imports store. good but i will remember to add more salt to the stuffing next time.
