didn't listen to this too much when it came out -- loved the booklet, but the room recordings aren't hi-fi and they aren't inviting -- but the recent george cacioppo CD on mode has me going back to the contemporary performances of the same pieces just to try to figure out what the hell he's doing

Milton, I'm sure you didn't know I was a music student at UCSD in late '80s/early '90s. Roger Reynolds was there then, but I never had him as a teacher. I did have Ferneyhough and Joji Yuasa, though.

dudes, the whole tower going out of business thing is great and all, but i go in there and there's nothing i don't have or don't think i couldn't find on soulseek. i usually just pull stuff i think is rad to the front of a stack so people who actually like spending money on CDs can feel lucky they came in the store.
