i can't listen to that right now but i only found out this morning from ned's this mortal coil review on pitchfork that they made a cover of "you and your sister" by chris bell (ex-big star) featuring vocals by kim deal and tanya donnelley, which is total sarah-bait

my work is going to start adding QR codes that connect to our website on all of our business cards. this seems like a terrible idea and i hate it.

yeah i think you need an app on your smartphone to scan them and they take you to a website.

it kind of makes sense if you're taking someone to a specific page on a site that might have a long URL but our url is basically www.nameoforganization.org

you can also tell that people got to your site via the QR code, hence the "getting something for free" promotional aspect

we used the things for some PR/communications tests for the soccer crew, it wasn't really worth the hassle in the end for us

Also, my favorite QR code misuse is when businesses send out emails w/ QR codes in them, because if you get the email on your phone, you can't scan the QR code with your phone, and if you get the email on your computer, just click the link to go to the website.

Also, I hate QR codes.

I did it for years until I took a "break" about a year and a half ago, that as it turns out, might be "the conclusion" of my stint as a patient escort. I half burned out and half couldn't take the abuse on my poor, wretched knee.

I still do other stuff like phone banking, showing up at protests, shit like that.
