Dude, Addai's not enough for you? You rocked the house bigtime, crazyfast! Very very VERY rewarding!

hahahahahahahahaha I love that dude.

I wish he would replace Theismann on MNF.

Allyzay Prime of TEAM COURAGE, Monday, 27 November 2006 22:20 (seventeen years ago) link

I could do that while westrained, with a westraining dewice!

Kornheiser, get a holt of yourself!

"the problems with keeping on ilx is that i hate it but we can do that too."

otm

lol I loved when addai was being interviewed after the game and was asked if he knew that he was the first Colt since Eric Dickerson to score 4 TDs in one game and he just said "uh no" in the most disinterested voice possible.

the only thing i hate about the sandbox is that it's permamently on GMT. wtf.

also I knew the Pats game was over as soon as Brady JUKED BRIAN URLACHER, WTF! I am going to attempt that on Madden asap.

my favorite moment this week was when dude kept asking aikman, 'isn't tony romo the best qb dallas has had in a long time' and troy was sort of weirdly defensive, like 'he hasn't proved nothin' yet!'

deep space nine (deep space nine), Monday, 27 November 2006 23:41 (seventeen years ago) link

well, joe buck is an idiot, so aikman probably didnt want to give him any sort of credit for being correct once in his life

t0dd swiss (immobilisme), Monday, 27 November 2006 23:43 (seventeen years ago) link

i was sort of surprised aikman had his kids there, not so much the fact they were there, more the fact he had kids. i heard he was an ass bandit.

Are there any clips anywhere of jukin' Brady? I really wanna see 'em!

Gravel Puzzleworth, Monday, 27 November 2006 23:54 (seventeen years ago) link

That NE/Bears game was downright fugly.

The NFL just needs to start putting freaking flags on QB's. I know that guy from the Giants let him go figuring that if he even knocked him down they would give the Titans 15 yards and a first down.

Who gets put on the bench or run out on a rail first, Vick or Eli? Vick has had a couple of more shots, so I figure he might be the first to go. I figure MV will get sent to the Oakland penal colony sometime next spring, probably traded for Randy Moss. Eli will probably get a hang nail and then the Hefty Lefty will somehow guide the Gmen to the playoffs. Lorenzen is destined to become some kind of freak football folk hero and next week against Dallas is as good a time as any to start.

You know that Peyton has all of those NYG games tivo'ed and probably sits and goes into a spazmotic fit watching his lil' brother play like such a freaking dork. I bet Peyton has already broken a couple of remote controls throwing the thing across the room when Eli does something stupid.

"they're not saying boo, eli, they're saying gooooood try."

does "ass bandit" mean Aikman is a slut or mean?

horseshoe, Tuesday, 28 November 2006 00:47 (seventeen years ago) link

I just hope that the Bengals can keep the hot streak going and take out the Ravens next week. I freaking hate those guys. Cinci has gotten their offensive line straightened back out and the offense has been moving the ball around like a pinball machine. Cinci's defense had been the NFL version of Lola Marymount until they boggled the offensive juggernaut that is the Cleveland Browns.

Brees dropped 500+ two weeks ago against the Bengals. That guy has put up some numbers down in NOLA.

earlnash, Tuesday, 28 November 2006 00:56 (seventeen years ago) link

Roddy White: COACH KILLER. if any of you guys saw Jim Mora fall to his knees when RW dropped that redzone catch, you saw a guy who knew he was FUCKED. Mike Vick and his 10-year, $160+ million contract aren't going anywhere. And if you've seen every Falcons game this year, as I have, then you've seen at least one play in every game where MV throws a ball that hits a receiver in the hands, IN THE END ZONE, and it is dropped every time. The guy's not perfect but he's stepped his game up bigtime, and unlike Eli he doesn't have 7-ft Plaxico to bail him out on all his jump balls. If you were to replace Vick with a random journeyman NFL QB (Hi, Matt Schaub!), what would you see? A pedestrian offense with an OL that can’t pass block, receivers who can’t catch, and an aging RB, paired with an inconsistent defense playing a bland scheme and yet still vunerable to the deep pass.

If there's half a brain in the Giants' front office, they will throw every penny they have at Jeff Fisher this offseason.

aidsy (aidsy), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 00:58 (seventeen years ago) link

anyway yeah, go bengals

aidsy (aidsy), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 00:59 (seventeen years ago) link

haha btw Chad Johnson has more receiving yards this season than the Atlanta Falcons' entire receiving corps.

aidsy (aidsy), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 01:00 (seventeen years ago) link

haha why did i draft michael jenkins, though i guess he's the only WR who has scored at all. of course only when i don't start him. ; (

other things to lol@:

plummer benched!

vanderdrunkjerk cut! and replaced with A GRAMATTICA!!!!!!!!!!!

aidsy (aidsy), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 01:07 (seventeen years ago) link

yeah jenkins has showed more potential the past two seasons, but still effs up a lot. he's good for a freakshow catch every couple games tho.

aidsy (aidsy), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 01:10 (seventeen years ago) link

the only decent moves i made all year were picking up marques colston BEFORE THE SEASON lol and trading reggie bush for tj houshmanzadeh, tho of course i only had reggie because i traded andre johnson and chris cooley for him ;(

deep space nine (deep space nine), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 01:12 (seventeen years ago) link

my team is fucked now, my money's on javon bondies! ampipers are good but not great w/o a decent QB.

deep space nine (deep space nine), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 01:16 (seventeen years ago) link

haha i'm less sold on my chances since huard got benched. trent green was good for 2 points this week ;( i still beat Ampipe by 42 points though.

aidsy (aidsy), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 01:17 (seventeen years ago) link

this is just like my baseball league where i was behind all season until i traded for Pujols and ended up winning. i guess the lesson is that if you can't draft first, then just trade for the best player in the league and you will always win :(

Battlestar Gramattica was with the Colts for a week earlier this year. To say the least, Martin is a bit more subdued after hitting a kick than he was with the Bucs.

Even if Mora gets axed, he will probably get another shot at being a head coach down the line.

Ocho Cinco has something like 2000 yards in the past two games or something.

I think that crazy old geezer Bud that owns the Titans might try and keep Fisher around. Tennessee does seem to be improving on both sides of the ball. The money would be top shelf, but I wouldn't want to try and coach the Giants. I think for any coach in about any sport, being in NY is only kind on the pocketbook and it sucks for pretty much everything else.

The Eagles D has hit the bottom, they are big suxors. It is easy to laugh at Garcia being the Eagles QB, but other than that turnover for a TD after the game was lost, he didn't play that bad. Granted everyone that plays the Colts throws for 60% completions and runs for a buck twenty five on the ground (if not buck sixty).

I've got to wonder if Gibbs will be back next year. It hasn't worked and I figure he will take some front office gig "director of football operations" and someone else will be the head coach. Knowing their owner, freaking Bobby Bowden will probably be coaching there next year.

I will always like Jim Plunkett other than the fact he won me my only $100 bet in that he was the starting QB for both of those Tom Flores Raider championship clubs.

earlnash, Tuesday, 28 November 2006 01:37 (seventeen years ago) link

the Tennessee defense is mystifying to me. i was actually wanting to start a thread about this over the weekend but, well, you know. they have a LOT of top shelf defensive talent at different key positions - bulluck, pacman (seriously), haynesworth, chris hope, vanden bosch are all awesome players, but the d is spotty as hell. it got me to thinking what it is that seperates good defenses from bad ones, because while there sure are a lot of BAD starters on the Tennessee d, it seems like even on the best defenses in the league there are a few scrubs and easily replacable types. maybe that kind of thinking is what ended up fucking over Washington - like when you play Madden and all you need is a team with a bunch of guys with 95 ratings and you're golden. it don't work like that irl. maybe it also has something to do with my perception of who the good players are and what contributions are needed by different dudes. Denver has a pretty solid d (though way overrated recently imo) but they have guys who are basically just solid dudes at a lot of key positions - is that the difference? like, having SOLID guys as your role players instead of complete scrubs? The d-line, whathisface who isn't champ bailey, they can make plays but they're not that great or anything either. john lynch is a liability in coverage, tho they have him up at the line of scrimmage enough to kind of negate that.

WHY does Monday Night Football keep playing Pearl Jam over shots of Brett Favre? It is making me want to kill.

i notice mnf has been choosing one themesong every week. it's weird.

"marcus allen's not as good as bo jackson/that's probably something he would dispute"

aidsy (aidsy), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 02:15 (seventeen years ago) link

if I were Brett Favre, I'd be annoyed at being associated with a song about a lackluster, maybe-abusive boyfriend. also, fuck you, MNF, for making me aware that I still remember lyrics to a Pearl Jam song.

holy shit, i love jimmy kimmel. "hey joe, how's your leg doing?"

also, he's refusing to talk during plays because he "hates when celebrities do that". omg <3

Nothing is as weird as Fox using Fugazi's "Waiting Room" on Thanksgiving underneath advertising the Cowboys vs. the Giants for the next week.

they play "waiting room" at rfk during redskins games.

because they both peaked around 1995?

in my defense, it wasn't my quarterback that laid me low this week -- i got a lot of points from david gerrard. outside of larry j, all my other reliables let me down. i wouldn't really count me out yet, haters.

Haikunym, Tuesday, 28 November 2006 15:14 (seventeen years ago) link

WTF is with retards calling for QBs to be sacked left and right? Especially Vick and Manning? Jesus christ. The problem with the league ain't almost any of these kids been benched this year, the problem with the league is that there's no such thing as a second string coach.

I am at the point where I don't think I will ever forgive the Giants for passing up Lovie for Coughlin. What the hell.

Also that roughing the passer call pro-Hasselbeck last night made me really honestly wish some GB mofo would've rushed up and just flat out killed him. I mean, yeah, I guess the call wasn't Hassy's fault but that'd sure as shit shut up those obnoxious "fans" they have up there. See also: my complaint yesterday about whistles in stadium should be a capital crime.

Allyzay 'へ'凸, Tuesday, 28 November 2006 15:26 (seventeen years ago) link

Also, are Eisen and Mariuci completely drunk every Monday or something? When Marshall Faulk is sitting there trying to hold the show together and be professional in the face of blatant, rampant not givin a shit, I dunno what to say about it. Also: duder on the GB/Seattle sideline eatin the snow: what are you doing??

Allyzay'へ'凸, Tuesday, 28 November 2006 15:28 (seventeen years ago) link

I cannot wait 'til Coughlin's delicious, delicious media-trial-by-fire (which is starting, I've heard) and the team mutiny and the FIRING most of all. I don't care if they pull Madden out of his senility to coach, anything is better than a dude who can't control a team, can't write a playbook, and has never heard of a depth chart.

Allyzay'へ'凸, Tuesday, 28 November 2006 15:30 (seventeen years ago) link

watched the pats/bears game in this horrible new nashua new hampshire feeling nfl package equipped bar with so many lame-ass bears fans who kept yelling YEAH BABY and doing that loud finger in mouth whistling - i'm all please stfu you tedious midwesterners we're indoors ffs and in case you didn't notice despite their record yr team isn't that good o look yr qb just took another gigantic dump @ midfield. watching the once rowdy chicagoans get sad was kinda nice especially when they got the ball back w/under two minutes left and 80 yards to go thinking they still had a chance - so tender their naivety. still i couldn't enjoy it that much with ne's receivers so relentlessly encouraging me to do harm to myself and others.
