I like sb because it seems to pretty neatly defuse nasty tone policing arguments, because instead of nasty tone policing arguments people click sb and feel like they've done their duty because sb has a quantifiable/algorithmic effect on dealing with things they find problematic

i dunno i disagree with that because as soon as people start to pile on a poster there's a bunch of "oh ya I sb'ed that guy and everyone else should too" which IMO is worse than tone policing (which I doubt would be a problem anyway)
